Medical Receptionist

A highly innovative medical provider is looking to hire a Medical Front Desk Receptionist to provide exceptional customer service to patients while ensuring the smooth operation of their medical office.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Welcoming patients and visitors, answering the telephone and answering any inquiries.

Scheduling appointments and keeping those appointments on time.

Assisting patients with completing necessary forms and documentation.

Keeping a clean and calm reception area.
-
Liaising with Medicare and private health funds
-
Faxing, scanning, filing, and mailing documentation.
-
Comforting distressed patients – this may range from simply fixing any appointment issues that may arise, through to being the voice of comfort during times of extreme stress and emergency.

Equipment sterilization and cleaning.

Monitoring and ordering stationery and clinical supplies.
-
Booking and organizing staff and doctor meetings.
-
Maintaining information confidentiality at all times.

Liaising with other medical departments such as radiologists, medical specialists or psychologists with professionalism and discretion.
Job Requirements:

At least 3 full years of direct experience as a medical office receptionist in a fast-paced clinic, hospital, or similar healthcare setting.

Must be able to multitask effectively; critical time management skills necessary

Understanding of basic healthcare terminology

Demonstrated ability to interact with healthcare professionals, patients, and insurance companies alike

Excellent customer service skills
-
Pleasant phone demeanor; bilingual speaker preferred

Computer skills required; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite mandatory, and must type 30+wpm
-
CPR certified
